Campari looks great. It’s an intriguing bottle that I’ve seen in most decent bars, but never known what it is. I love the idea of it.
What other way to try it in a cocktail than the Negroni?
- 1.5 oz London dry gin
- 1.5 oz Campari
- 1.5 oz Red/Sweet vermouth
Add all the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice, and stir until well-chilled. Strain into a tumbler over ice and garnish with an orange peel.
Oh my god, this was horrific. How can anyone drink this? I cannot bear the taste of it, and came close to spitting it out (because I’m that classy.) After the first taste, I put 1/4 of sugar syrup in it to make it drinkable, but it still wasn’t. Richard didn’t like it either, but drank it all so that’s one up on the Maiden’s Blush. I’m gutted, I wanted to love Campari, but now I want to bury the bottle in the garden.
