I’ve been itching to try the Frangelico which arrived recently, and now it’s the weekend. I also have a glut of Pedro Ximenez, overestimating what I could reasonably put in a Christmas pudding.
I opened the bottle and took a sniff. I’m sure there are people who don’t like hazelnuts, but like bacon cooking on a Sunday morning it’s a smell to make you smile.
Fruit & Nut Martini
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1/2 oz Pedro Ximenez Sherry
- 1 oz Frangelico
- 1 oz Cranberry juice
- 1/2 oz Orange juice
Shake everything with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
This was sweet and rich and cakey. I loved it. I did have two. Maybe three.There aren’t that many cocktails containing Frangelico, but I intend to track some down and make more use of it.
