Some Bison Grass Vodka arrived, and so a drink to try it in had to be found.
- 1 1/2 oz Bison Grass Vodka
- 1/2 oz Spiced Rum
- 1/4 oz Triple Sec
- 2 barspspoons Honey
- 1/2 oz Sugar Syrup
- 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
- 2 oz Apple Juice
Dissolve the honey by first stirring it in a shaker with the vodka. Add the rest of the ingredients and shake with ice. Strain in to an ice-filled tall glass.
This drink was created at the Apartment in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It isn’t currently on the menu, and that’s a shame because I have family not far from there and I have the chance to visit this one. On the other hand the menu looks great regardless, so hopefully I can stop by in the next couple of months.
This reminded me of the inside of a spiced apple pie, but cold and refreshing. I was expecting a run-of-the-mill vodka drink, and as vodka is a spirit I don’t much care for, anticipation was low for this. This is packed with flavour, but still very refreshing. Highly rated by both me and Richard, who seems to always select whisk(e)y or vodka drinks, when I mostly go for rum.
