My first daiquiri.

The days are getting longer and the sun is shining, so it’s time for something refreshing. I went with a sweet recipe for this, because even when something is a bit sweet, I personally find that more palatable than not sweet enough.


  • 2 oz Light rum
  • 3/4 oz Lime juice
  • 3/4 oz Sugar syrup

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

My first words upon tasting this were “Oh my God. This is perfect.” Towards the dregs in the glass my thoughts were that the sugar-lime ratio was a bit skewed and I would dial back the syrup by a quarter next time.
